This will be our sixth meeting; the main result of our efforts so far, a revised version of The People's Agenda which keeps most of the amazing original document presented to the newly-merged government in 2003 while expanding and some-what revising it to reflect new realities, is [ BELOW and at THIS LINK ].

The idea behind reviving the Agenda now is that just as the city was entering a new era when the city and county governments were merged in 2003, it is entering a new era now as "Mayor for Life" Jerry Abramson has finally moved on. We hope to significantly influence the new Fischer administration through our many proposals...

Reinvigorating the Coalition for The People's Agenda: Invitation to L.I.F.E. Meeting on 11/14/10:
Hello, fellow fighters for social justice and equality!
A "daughter" organization of the Kentucky Alliance, Louisvillians In Favor of Equality (L.I.F.E.), will be holding a meeting this Sunday, Nov. 14, at 2:00 p.m. at the Braden Center, 3208 WEST BROADWAY, Louisville, KY, USA
This meeting will focus on:
* The process of reinvigorating the old Coalition for The People's Agenda;* "Updating" that People's Agenda itself to include additional issues such as single payer health care and public ownership of LG&&E;* Presenting the People's Agenda and Budget priorities before the new Mayor's budget is presented to the Metro Council;* And reviewing the lessons learned from the first years of organizing the People's Agenda, and the role of the Kentucky Alliance and broad community coalitions in that history.
The active participation of you and your organization is crucial to the success of this venture; hope MANY of you can make it!
